How 1,225 ratings came about
There was no campaign behind these numbers. The office opened in Tuzla in 1993, and the ratings arrived the way cases close: one at a time, over more than three decades of practice. Behind almost every one of them stands a finished file: a property transfer entered in the land books, a probate concluded, a claim collected, a foreign judgment recognized, a divorce or a marriage registered.
Reading through the reviews, the same observations return in different handwriting: that e-mails were answered even at weekends, that every step was explained without legal jargon, that the client knew at all times where the case stood, and that the office carried the matter end to end, through the notary, the tax administration and the land registry. We did not choose these themes; the reviewers did.
A significant share of the ratings comes from people who never set foot in our office. Clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland regularly complete entire procedures by e-mail, post and telephone, on the basis of a power of attorney, and their reviews describe precisely that. Correspondence runs in Bosnian, German or English, as the client prefers. The office is also among those recommended by embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the embassies of Germany, the United States and Great Britain.
Our own part in all of this is deliberately small. When a case is closed, we invite the client to share their experience on one of the three profiles; nothing more. Discretion, written into our charter
One thing will never appear on this page: a list of client names.
